Regulating periods and managing weight can be quite closely linked and often stem from underlying dosha imbalances. For your situation, focusing on balancing Kapha and Vata doshas might be beneficial. Your current practice of taking soaked fenugreek, flax and chia seeds is quite good, as they help in balancing the hormones, but let’s add a little more structure to the routine.
First, consider enhancing your daily morning routine by integrating Trikatu (a blend of ginger, black pepper, and long pepper) into your meals if not already part of your current detox drink. It aids in boosting metabolism and supporting digestion, which is beneficial for both weight management and hormonal balance. Ensure to use freshly ground spices for maximum effect.
Regarding your diet, aim for warm, light and spicy foods to balance the Kapha. Include fresh vegetables, especially greens, and favor cooked over raw foods to aid digestion. Avoid heavy, sugary, and fried foods as much as possible since these can increase Kapha.
You mentioned practicing Surya Namaskar, which is excellent. Consistency is key, so aim to increase the repetitions gradually, if health permits. Combine this with Pranayama exercises such as Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) to calm any Vata disturbances. This may regulate the menstrual cycle.
On herbal support, consider Ashokarishta or Dashmoolarishta under guidance of a qualified practitioner; these are traditionally used to address menstrual irregularities. However, since you recently had a normal report, consulting with a professional periodically to monitor your hormone levels would be prudent too.
Set a fixed daily routine and try to stick to sleep schedules as regular sleep aids in hormone regulation. Finally, be patient with your body — it takes time to heal and to adjust from within. If issues like continuous bleeding persists, it’s crucial to seek further medical assessment.
