godanti bhasma how to use - #40484

Gabriella

I am really confused about godanti bhasma and how to use it. Lately, I've been dealing with this annoying dental issue, like gum inflammation and sensitivity that just won't quit. My dentist said everything seems normal but, like, my mouth still feels off. I read somewhere that godanti bhasma might help with oral health and I thought maybe this could be the solution I need. I've got some capsules of godanti bhasma that I found at the local Ayurveda shop. The seller said it's good for teeth but I honestly have NO idea how to use godanti bhasma properly. Do I just take the capsules, or is it better to make a paste or something? I’m a bit worried because I’ve tried other things and nothing seems to work. Also, I wonder if there are any specific dosages for godanti bhasma since I'm not trying to mess things up more than they are. Would love to hear anyone’s experiences or tips on using godanti bhasma effectively. I can’t be the only one struggling with this, right? Thanks for any help!

Godanti bhasma, a fine powder made from gypsum, is traditionaly used in Ayurveda for various ailments, including dental issues. In cases like yours, where gum inflammation and sensitivity are a concern, godanti bhasma might indeed offer some relief. However, its important to use it correctly to avoid any adverse effects. When it comes to dosage, typically it’s recommended to take 250 mg to 500 mg per day, but I would advise starting on the lower end, especially since you’re new to using it.

If you’re using capsules directly from the Ayurvedic shop, it’s crucial to follow the instructions on the packaging, as different formulations might have varying concentrations. If the capsules don’t come with clear instructions, I suggest consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner to get a tailored dosage and usage plan.

To specifically address oral health, some people prefer to mix godanti bhasma with honey or ghee to form a smooth paste and apply it gently onto the gums. However, it’s equally important to maintain proper oral hygiene, such as brushing twice daily with a soft-bristled brush and using a gentle mouth rinse.

Speaking of diet, ensure that your intake of sugar is minimized, and include foods rich in calcium and vitamin c, which are beneficial for dental health.

Since you have dental sensitivity, it’s crucial not to apply anything directly onto your gums without professional guidance. If you’re thinking of using godanti bhasma as a paste, again, touching base with a knowledgeable Ayurvedic practitioner would be wise to determine the best approach for you.

While godanti bhasma can be effective, ascertain its compatibility with your unique body type and condition since Ayurveda emphasizes personalized treatment. This is especially important if common treatments aren’t yielding results, as symptoms might be pointing to underlying dosha imbalances that need addressing.

As always, if your symptoms worsen or don’t improve, you should seek further medical advice.

For your dental issues, godanti bhasma can indeed offer some support due to its calming and cooling properties, which are beneficial for inflammation and sensitivity. It is primarily composed of purified gypsum and is employed in Ayurveda for various conditions including oral health. However, using it effectively necessitates careful attention to dosage and method of administration.

The most straightforward way is to take the godanti bhasma in its capsule form, as you’ve already purchased it this way. Typically, for adults, the recommended dosage ranges from 250 mg to 500 mg, usually taken once or twice daily after meals. Always follow the guidelines on the packaging, and ideally, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor the dose to your specific needs.

You mentioned the idea of making a paste. While godanti bhasma is primarily used internally, a paste can theoretically be used topically for oral conditions, but it’s not common practice and care should be taken to avoid ingesting it in this form. If considering such a preparation, mix with honey or a mild base like water or ghee under expert guidance.

With any form of bhasma, purity and correct dosage are crucial, as improper use may lead to toxicity or no benefit at all. So, obtaining a reputable product and consulting with an Ayurvedic professional before beginning a new regimen would be wise. Given your persistent symptoms and lack of response to other treatments, please ensure your dentist re-evaluates any underlying issues, as ongoing dental problems deserve a thorough overall health assessment too.
