Sir, I have kidney disease and I am suffering from anxiety and depression for many months. Neither can I sleep nor can I talk to people, I stay alone at home. This disease is not going away from my mind. I remain anxious all the time that I will not survive.My exam is after 6 months and I am not even able to prepare for it. There is some disease going on in my whole brain.

Firstly, about the kidney disease, it’s important to know what kind exactly you're dealing with. Though Ayurveda can certainly help, it can't entirely replace conventional treatments, especially if your condition is serious. Have you been seeing a doctor regularly for it?
But let's talk about your anxiety and depression - that’s where Ayurveda might help. In Ayurveda, these symptoms are often associated with a Vata imbalance. When Vata goes out of balance, it leads to restlessness, anxiety, and disturbed sleep. One simple approach could be focusing on a routine: try waking up and going to bed at the same time, every day. It might sound very basic, but our body loves regularity.
Diet can be a game changer too! Warm, nourishing foods like kichadi or soups are grounding. Avoid cold, raw foods and stimulants like caffeine, they can aggravate Vata further. Sesame oil massages can be calming as well; massaging gently before a warm bath might soothe your nerves.
Now, anxiety might make you feel isolated, but socializing, even a little, could be really beneficial. I get it’s tough to start conversations, especially when you’re feeling low. Perhaps starting with small steps like a call or message to close friends, eventually working up to meeting them might help. Also, pranayama or breathing exercises such as Nadi Shodhana pranayama can help calm the mind. Pick a time daily for this, even if it's just a few minutes, to help center your energies.
While focusing on your upcoming exam, try to break things down into smaller, manageable tasks. Tackling small parts might help reduce that overwhelming feeling.
