Doctors' responses

-All salts are mostly sodium chloride and work the same in the body. 1)Table salt (iodized): Contains iodine (important for thyroid health). -Best choice nutritionally. 2)Pink Himalayan salt: Has tiny amounts of minerals (iron, magnesium), but not enough to matter. No iodine unless added. 3)Black Himalayan salt (kala namak): Similar to pink salt, with sulfur compounds that give an egg-like smell. Used mainly for flavor, not health. -For the body: Salt helps with hydration, nerves, muscles, and blood pressure. Too much can raise blood pressure. -so, Use iodized salt regularly for health; use pink or black salt for taste and variety.
