1. Check your iron status more completely:

Ferritin (iron stores)

Hemoglobin

Transferrin saturation, maybe TIBC

Any causes of iron loss (digestive bleeding, heavy menses, etc.)

2. Consider an iron supplement, if indicated by lab tests, under medical supervision. Dietary changes help, but often for “really low” iron, food alone isn’t enough.

3. Continue good supporting habits:

Eat iron-rich foods (lean meat, lentils, beans, leafy greens, fortified cereals) + vitamin C (helps iron absorption)
