Hello I totally get your point. Parthadyarishta is usually a good choice for aged people if it is taken in proper quantities and combined with their other medications.

Parthadyarishta Dosage Advice for Aged:

For a man aged 70+

➡️ 15 ml Parthadyarishta + 20 ml lukewarm water once daily after lunch

(A lower dose is suggested to prevent the occurrence of acidity, excess dryness, or interacting with BP medicines.)

For a woman aged 60+

➡️ 15ml Parthadyarishta + 20 ml lukewarm water once daily after lunch

Reason for Once Daily?

Because they are both already on medicine for: Cholesterol Blood pressure Nefrosafe

One small dose a day only keeps the following side effects away:

–Excess diuresis – Weakness –Drug interactions –Night-time urination in elderly

❌ Do Not Take It At Night

It can cause frequent urination and thus sleep will be interrupted.

More Tips

Drink enough water Do not eat very spicy or fried foods Eat your dinner light and before 7:30 pm Take their regular medicines as usual

For elderly patients taking Parthadiyarishtha, it’s essential to be cautious about dosages, especially since medications for cholesterol, blood pressure, and renal protection (like Nefrosafe) are involved. Generally, Parthadiyarishtha is administered in dosages of 12 to 24 ml, mixed with an equal amount of water, twice a day after meals. However, for individuals over 60 and especially those over 70, adjustments might be necessary due to their health conditions and interactions with pharmaceuticals.

First, consider each individual’s Prakriti, particularly if they have a vata imbalance, which is common in older age. Smaller amounts, like 10 ml, diluted with water might typically be more advisable initially, observing how they respond. The digestion strength, or agni, should also be assessed. If the digestive fire is weak, start with a lower dosage to prevent any gastric discomfort.

When medicines for blood pressure or kidney health are involved, careful monitoring is vital. Parthadiyarishtha contains herbs that may affect blood pressure. Such interactions means adjustments to timings might be wise. Ideally, keep a gap of 1-2 hours between Parthadiyarishtha and other medications to minimize risk of interaction.

It’s also prudent to discuss with their primary healthcare provider to ensure the integration of this Ayurvedic remedy with their existing regimen would not cause any unwanted effects. Ensure that any changes in their Ayurvedic formulation are closely monitored for both efficacy and safety. Adjust the dosage based on tolerance and effects, regularly consulting with a healthcare professional. If there’s any unexpected reactions or side effects, prompt medical evaluation is necessary.

Remember: The recommendations are dynamic and should adapt based on individual response and overall health condition.

For elderly patients, particularly those over 70 for males and over 60 for females, who are already on medications for conditions like cholesterol, hypertension, and kidney protection (nefrosafe), it’s crucial to approach the dosage of Parthadiyarishtha carefully. Typically, the dose of Parthadiyarishtha for adults might be around 15-30 ml twice daily after meals, diluted with an equal amount of water. However, considering the advanced age and existing medication regimen, it’s better err on the side of caution.

Begin with a lower dosage, around 10 ml, twice a day post meals, to gauge tolerance and avoid potential interactions with their current treatment plan. Monitoring is key, so observe any changes in their conditions, especially concerning blood pressure or kidney function.

Since Parthadiyarishtha is primarily used for supporting heart health—acting on both kapha and vata doshas—it’s rationale to tailor its use carefully. Ensure they maintain an open line of communication with their healthcare provider, particularly if they experience any unusual symptoms like dizziness or changes in blood pressure. Integrate with a suitable diet and lifestyle that supports their dosha balance, limiting overly salty or oily foods that might counteract the herb’s benefits.

It’s imperative to not self-adjust dosages beyond these recommendations without professional guidance. A Siddha or Ayurvedic consultation could provide a deeper personalized insight, especially if considering long-term use. Always prioritize medical advice that takes holistic account of their health profile.
