Can I drink water melon juice 1 hour after drinking curd ? By doing so will it affect the benefits I get from curd / Watermelon juice?

Ayurvedic View Curd (Dadhi) Sour, heavy, unctuous, heating in nature (Ushna) Increases Kapha and Pitta Watermelon (Tarbuj) Sweet, heavy, cooling (Sheeta), very hydrating Is This Combination Compatible? From an Ayurvedic perspective, this falls under Viruddha Ahara (incompatible food combination), mainly due to: Virya Viruddha (opposite potency) Hot (curd) + Cold (watermelon) Guna mismatch Both are heavy but act differently on digestion 👉 This can disturb digestion (Agni) and may lead to Ama formation over time. In Your Case You are taking them with a 1-hour gap You have excellent digestion and no symptoms 👉 So practically: Occasional intake may not cause issues But daily habit is not ideal long-term Also, benefits of both foods may not be optimally utilized when taken this way regularly. How to Plan Consumption Better Keep a minimum 2–3 hour gap between curd and watermelon Prefer: Curd during daytime meals (lunch) Watermelon separately, preferably empty stomach or mid-morning Avoid: Taking watermelon immediately after meals Combining with dairy closely in time If Taken Improperly (Remedial Support) If you ever feel heaviness, bloating, or discomfort: Take a pinch of dry ginger powder or trikatu with warm water Sip warm water for some time Avoid heavy meals for the next few hours Key Point Even if you don’t feel symptoms now, regular intake of opposite-nature foods can slowly affect digestion Better spacing = better digestion + better benefits from both 👍
