I’m really sorry you’re having to go through all this. Schizophrenia, especially, when it involves auditory hallucination like you’re experiencing can be quite distressing. It’s important first that you stay in regular contact with a mental health professional, you know? They can provide immediate support and help in a way Ayurveda alone may not.

In Ayurveda, mental disorders like schizophrenia may be seen through the lens of imbalances in the Vata dosha - which governs the nervous system and communication. Excessive Vata can lead to destabilization in the mind, resulting in symptoms like these voice you hear. Balancing Vata could bring some calming effects, although it may not completely replace what’s needed in modern psychiatric treatment.

To soothe vata, considered grounding practices in your daily life:

Diet: Eat warm, nourishing meals. Favor whole grains, cooked veggies, and unctuous foods with healthy fats, like ghee or coconut oil, they provide stability and calm.

Routine: Establish a daily routine - wake up, eat, and sleep at the same time each day. This rhythm helps settle Vata turbulence.

Herbs: Ashwagandha and brahmi might be useful. These are known for their adaptogenic properties that calm the mind, but be sure to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any herb.

Yoga & Pranayama: Simple yoga postures like child’s pose and breathing exercises can be stabilizing. Breathe deep, practice mindfulness gently, even if just for a few minutes.

But if you feel like you’re at risk of self-harm, it’s critical to seek immediate help from a professional. Ayurvedic practices are complementary and might take a while to see effects so, best to have quick-acting support in place too. You’re not alone, and reaching out was a brave step.
