Stopping Arpizol 2 mg (aripiprazole) after long-term use can cause mental restlessness, uneasiness, or withdrawal-like symptoms. In Ayurveda, this is seen as Vata imbalance affecting Manas (mind). Simple Ayurvedic Approach 1. Calm Vata & Mind Take Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) – improves mental stability Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) – reduces anxiety, strengthens nerves Shankhpushpi – supports calm thinking and sleep These can be taken as syrup or tablet under guidance. 2. Medhya Rasayana (Brain tonics) Formulations like Saraswatarishta or Manasmitra Vatakam help in long-term psychiatric support. 3. Daily Routine Sleep on time Gentle Pranayama (Anulom Vilom, Bhramari) Avoid excessive mobile, stress, late nights 4. External therapies Shiro Abhyanga (head massage) with Brahmi oil If possible: Shirodhara therapy for deep calming effect 5. Diet Warm, light, easily digestible food Avoid caffeine, junk food, and very spicy items

Hello, It is understandable that you are feeling “uncomfortable in mind” after stopping Arpizol (Aripiprazole). This sensation is often due to the brain adjusting to a change in dopamine and serotonin levels after long-term use. In Ayurveda, chronic psychiatric conditions and the long-term use of strong medications can lead to an imbalance of Vata Dosha in the Manovaha Srotas (channels of the mind). Stopping a stabilizer like Arpizol can cause “Vata Vyadhi,” manifesting as restlessness, anxiety, or mental instability. The goal is to stabilize Sattva (clarity) and ground the Vata. 1. Kalyanaka Gritham Action: A medicated ghee specifically for mental health, memory, and calming the nervous system. Dose: 1 teaspoon (approx. 5-10g) on an empty stomach in the morning with a little warm water. 2. Manasamitra Vatakam Action: One of the most potent tablets for balancing the mind, reducing stress, and improving sleep quality. Dose: 1 tablet twice daily after food with warm milk or water. 3. Saraswatarishtam (with Gold) Action: A liquid tonic that acts as a brain booster and nervous system stabilizer. Dose: 15-20 ml mixed with an equal amount of lukewarm water, twice daily after food.
