Headaches can indeed arise from numerous factors, and considering your recent experiences, stress and trauma can play a significant role. The body often reacts to emotional and physical distress, manifesting symptoms like headaches or eye pain. Stress can lead to increased muscle tension, especially in the neck and shoulders, which might contribute to headaches, too.

In terms of Ayurveda, headaches are often related with an imbalance in the Vata dosha, sometimes Pitta as well. Both stress and trauma can agitate these doshas. Vata governs the nervous system and Pitta the processing of emotions. When these are disrupted, symptoms like headaches are fairly common.

To start addressing this, consider incorporating simple Ayurvedic practices that can help soothe your nervous system and potentially alleviate the headache. Firstly, practicing daily abhyanga (self-massage) with warm sesame oil can be grounding for Vata. Focus on the scalp, neck, and shoulders, areas that tend to carry a lot of tension.

You may also try a Shirodhara treatment at an Ayurvedic clinic when you can. It involves warm oil poured over the forehead, deeply relaxing the mind—often used for release of stress and headaches.

Also, stay hydrated. Drinking water with a pinch of cumin, fennel or coriander can help maintain the digestive fire and balance Pitta. Aim for consuming a warm, light, and nourishing diet that includes foods like cooked vegetables, rice, or soups. Avoid excessive caffeine and spicy foods, which can aggravate Pitta even more.

Practice deep breathing exercises, or Pranayama, such as Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) which is calming and can relieve tension. If possible, spend a few minutes daily in quiet meditation; this can profoundly affect both emotional and physical stress. Remember, addressing both the body and mind is crucial.

Lastly, consider seeking professional care for counseling or therapy, as dealing with trauma effectively involves addressing the mental and emotional healing along with physical health. If symptoms persist or worsen, do consult an Ayurvedic physician or healthcare professional for further personalized treatment.
