is patanjali honey pure - #25032
I am really curious about Patanjali honey because I bought some a few weeks ago after hearing how great honey is for health and wellness. I've been dealing with seasonal allergies and thought maybe adding this honey could help. But now I'm wondering, is Patanjali honey pure? Like, I've read mixed reviews online. Some say it's super pure and natural, while others claim it's not what it seems. I honestly don’t know who to trust. I also noticed that after using it for a week, my symptoms kinda got better but then I had some weird stomach upset, which makes me think... is it the honey? Could it be, like, not pure? I mean, I want to make sure I’m doing good things for my body, but I also don't wanna aggravate my issues! Has anyone had experience with this honey? Is Patanjali honey pure in your opinions? Would love your thoughts, thanks!

Determining the purity of any commercial honey product, including Patanjali honey, can indeed be challenging. Essentially, purity in honey usually refers to unadulterated honey straight from the hive, without adding or removing any substances. While Patanjali claims that their honey is pure, testing and transparency could vary. Different batches could have slightly different qualities, which might account for mixed reviews.
From an Ayurvedic perspective, honey is a potent, natural remedy known as “Madhu,” and it’s highly valued for its healing properties, such as enhancing immunity and aiding digestion when used appropriately. It’s also important for it to be pure and free from additives to gain these benefits.
The stomach upset you mentioned might have a few explanations. It’s possible there are specific sensitivities to particular floral sources, if Patanjali’s honey is multi-floral, or an individual reaction to certain components which some honeys contain naturally. Another aspect to consider is the Ayurvedic principle of “Viruddha Ahar” or incompatible food combinations. Be cautious not to mix honey with hot or fermented foods, which Ayurveda advises against.
If you’re looking to use honey therapeutically for allergies, sometimes local raw honey is said to be beneficial due to exposure to local pollen, which may help with seasonal allergies. However, ensure it’s sourced from a trusted supplier.
Should symptoms persist, and you’re concerned about the reaction, discontinuing the honey for a bit may help. If the stomach issues don’t resolve, consult a healthcare provider.
Keep in mind, always ensure moderation in using honey, as its overconsumption can lead to other health issues, according to Ayurveda. A spoon of honey in a glass of warm, not hot, water may offer a gentle way to start integrating it into your regimen safely.
