I am really curious about who can wear rudraksha after what I’ve been going through lately. So, a few months ago, I started feeling really overwhelmed with stress and anxiety, kinda like everything just piled up on me. My friends suggested trying rudraksha beads since they're supposed to have some magical calming effects, right? But I've heard mixed things about who can wear rudraksha. Like, do you need to be super spiritually advanced, or is it okay for anyone? I mean, I’m not exactly a saint or something! Also, there are these multiple mukhi types, and I thought maybe that makes a difference too? I'm not sure which one would be best for my situation, and I don’t want to wear it if I’m not "worthy" or something! Is there some kind of guideline or something? Oh, and do you have to cleanse them or charge them or whatever? Do you think wearing rudraksha will really help with the anxiety? Would love some thoughts on this. Thanks!

There are different mukhis or faces of rudraksha beads ranging from 1 to 21, but the most common ones are from 1 to 14 mukhi. Each type is said to have a distinct influence, but for general anxiety and emotional balance, the 5 mukhi rudraksha is the most commonly used. This type is thought to promote inner peace and relieve mental stress. If you’re dealing with anxiety, you might want to start with a 5 or 6 mukhi rudraksha.

As for cleansing or charging rudraksha, before wearing them, it’s generally a good idea to cleanse them either by soaking in milk overnight or simply rinsing them with water and leaving them outside under moonlight for a night. Some people chant specific mantras such as the “Om Namah Shivaya” while wearing them, but this is completely optional and depends on your personal beliefs and what you’re comfortable with.

Regarding the impact on anxiety, while rudraksha beads might not instantly alleviate all anxiety, they can promote a sense of calmness and act as a supportive tool alongside other practices like meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises. Always consult a healthcare professional if anxiety is significantly impacting your daily life, as it’s essential to address mental health with comprehensive care.
