Hello Sahrish, In Ayurveda, conception challenges can be related to imbalances in the reproductive system, as well as overall vitality. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis can also affect the balance of hormones and metabolism, which may impact fertility. To help increase AMH levels and support fertility, it’s important to address the root cause of your imbalances, such as restoring the harmony of the doshas and strengthening the reproductive tissues. Have you had any additional tests like ultrasound or an ovarian reserve check? How is your digestion, stress levels, and lifestyle? Also, what kind of diet and exercise routine are you following?
Dear Sahrish,
I’m sorry to hear about your challenges with conceiving following your miscarriage last year. Your current thyroid function, with a TSH level of 1.56 µIU/mL, is within the normal range, which is encouraging. However, your Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) level of 0.275 ng/mL indicates a significantly reduced ovarian reserve, which can impact fertility. U would suggest you to start on following treatment Divya Shivlingi Beej Churna - 100 grams Divya Putrajivak Giri - 200 grams Grind both of them into a fine powder. Take one fourth spoon on an empty stomach in the morning and one hour after dinner with cow’s milk. Divy Stri Rasayana Vati - 60 grams Divya Chandraprabha Vati - 60 grams Take 1 tablet in the morning and evening after meals with fresh water. Divya Bhalaghrita: Take 1 teaspoon with cow’s milk in the morning and evening. Maintain a healthy weight, regular exercises and balanced diet are essential If you want customised diet plan I can suggest you Wishing you strength and success on your fertility journey Dr M Sushma
Dealing with low AMH levels while trying to conceive can be tough, but Ayurveda offers holistic approaches that aim at improving overall fertility health. The focus is on balancing the doshas, nourishing the dhatus, and strengthening agni, all of which play crucial roles in reproductive health.
Firstly, let’s talk diet. It’s important to eat a diet that balances all three doshas, but particularly vata and kapha, which can affect fertility when imbalanced. You should incorporate warming, nourishing foods like whole grains, legumes, cooked vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Use spices like cumin, coriander, and fennel that support digestion and agni. Consuming ghee regularly can also be very beneficial. Remember, avoid processed foods, too much caffeine, and alcohol as they can increase vata and kapha imbalances.
Herbal support can also be incredibly helpful. Ashwagandha, known for its ability to rejuvenate and balance hormones, can be incorporated. Shatavari is another excellent herb for women’s reproductive health. Consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to make sure dosages are right for you.
In terms of lifestyle, stress plays a significant role in hormonal balance. Practices like yoga and meditation can help calm the mind and promote hormonal balance. Regular, moderate exercise tailored to your constitution (maybe gentle walks or yoga) is beneficial too. It’s consistency that counts!
Lastly, consider consulting with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized panchakarma therapies. These detox treatments can help cleanse the body and balance the doshas, possibly improving fertility odds.
However, considering previous miscarriage history, it’s vital to maintain a balance between Ayurveda and allopathic support. Keep in touch with your healthcare provider. They can track your hormone levels and make sure both worlds are aligned in your treatment. If conceiving becomes a prolonged struggle, consider exploring integrative approaches with your medical team as well.
Trying to find a baby is a journey. Be kind to yourself during this time, and remember it’s about nourishing your entire being—mind, body, spirit—along the way.
