Hello Thank‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ you for sharing your concerns and reaching out with this question. I am really impressed with your concern about your son’s mental and emotional well-being. Depression and ADHD, especially when the symptoms are quite severe, should be handled with a lot of care, safe treatment, and support for a long period — and Ayurveda can be a very good additional-support to his present supplements

YOUR SON’S CURRENT STATUS

Problems: Depression + ADHD Period: > 6 months Severity: extreme, constant supervision is required Deficiencies: Vitamin D deficiency Current supplements: Magnesium L-threonate Omega-3 Vitamin D Direct Answer to Your Question

✅ YES

Your son can use Brahmi and Shankhpushpi

He can take these herbs along with magnesium, omega-3, and vitamin D. There are NO harmful interactions if these are taken in the right doses.

Actually, these mixes are complementation, not contradiction.

AYURVEDIC KNOWLEDGE

The son’s condition indicates:

Manovaha srotas dushti Vata–Pitta imbalance Low Satva bala ADHD → Vata dominance (restlessness, inattention)

Depression → Pitta depletion + Kapha avarana

👉 Brahmi & Shankhpushpi belong to Medhya Rasayana –they regenerate the brain, soothe the mind, and increase concentration without sleepiness.

HOW BRAHMI & SHANKHPUSHPI HELP

BRAHMI

Improves focus, memory & learning Anxiety and mental fatigue are relieved Helps balance neurotransmitters Very effective in ADHD

SHANKHAPUSHPI

Helps quiet the mind Reduces In a state of low mood and irritability, stimulation is lessened Improves sleep quality

Depression and emotional instability, most likely, problems that can be solved with the help of Shankhpushpi

Both of them together work to amplify each other’s effects.

WHICH IS BETTER: BRAHMI GHRITA or TABLETS?

THE BEST CHOICE FOR YOUR SON: 👉 BRAHMI GHRITA

Why Brahmi Ghrita is better in this case: –It is able to cross the blood–brain barrier more efficiently –Ghee nourishes Majja dhatu & Ojas

–More effective in: Depression ADHD Emotional instability Low motivation

It works in a more gentle and profound way than tablets

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE (SAFE & PRACTICAL)

👉Brahmi Ghrita Dose: ½ teaspoon once daily Time: Morning, empty stomach With: Warm milk or warm water

👉 Shankhpushpi Syrup Syrup: 10 ml at night after food

HOW TO SPACELY WITH THE CURRENT SUPPLEMENTS

Morning: Brahmi Ghrita Vitamin D (if prescribed)

Afternoon / Evening: Omega-3

Night: Magnesium L-threonate Shankhpushpi

✔ This spacing does not allow for overlap and facilitates absorption.

IMPORTANT SAFETY POINTS

These Ayurvedic drugs are safe in terms of dependence Do NOT stop any supplements abruptly Effects are gradual, not instant At night, refrain from taking too much caffeine, eating junk food, and watching…

Consistency is key You are making the right move at the right moment.

Brahmi + Shankhpushpi, together with his current supplements, ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌can gently stabilize his mind, and improve concentration

Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

According to Ayurveda, boat, depression, and ADHD or conditions related to vata imbalance with disturbance of rahas Ana Tamas in the mind introduced Medha

Your son can safely take Brahmi and Shankapuspi along with magnesium L- threonate omega, three and vitamin D This supplement supports the nervous system, nutritionally while Brahmi and Shankapuspi acts as Medha rasayana improving memory, attention, emotional stability, and calming the mind there is no classical contraindication to using them together

Between the two forms Brahmi Gritha is better than tablet form for depression and ADHD, he can start with 1/4 th tsp before food with warm water once a day

Hello,

Yes, your son can safely take Brahmi and Shankhpushpi along with magnesium L-threonate, omega-3, and vitamin D. There are no harmful interactions.

✔ Brahmi tablets/capsules are better than Brahmi Ghrita for him – Easier to digest – Better for ADHD & depression – Less chance of heaviness or laziness

✔ Shankhpushpi (tablet or syrup) is also helpful for anxiety, focus, and sleep.

How to start

Start Brahmi tablets first- 1 tablet after food twice daily After 7–10 days, add Shankhpushpi if needed

⚠️ Avoid starting many herbs together Simple routine + supplements + gentle herbs work best together.

Warm regards, Dr.Sumi MS(Ayu)

🌿 Brahmi aur Shankhpushpi ke baare mein Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri): - Smriti, concentration aur anxiety ko balance karta hai. - ADHD aur depression mein supportive mana jata hai.

Shankhpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis): - Nervine tonic, stress aur hyperactivity ko calm karta hai. - Sleep aur relaxation mein madad karta hai.

👉 Dono ek saath liye ja sakte hain, aur magnesium, omega‑3, vitamin D ke saath generally safe hote hain. Lekin agar koi liver/kidney issue ho toh doctor ki advice lena zaroori hai.

🌱 Suggested Ayurvedic Routine (General Guidance) - Brahmi Ghrita: ½ tsp subah khali pet + ½ tsp raat ko sone se pehle, warm milk ke saath. - Shankhpushpi Syrup/Churna: 5–10 ml syrup ya 2–3 g churna din mein 2 baar, paani ya dudh ke saath. - Anupana: Warm milk best hai, kyunki ghee aur milk dono brain aur nerves ko nourish karte hain.

🧘 Lifestyle Support - Daily pranayama (anulom vilom, bhramari) 10–15 min - Structured routine (fixed sleep, study/play times) - Balanced diet: nuts, seeds, green leafy vegetables, whole grains - Avoid excess sugar, junk food, and late nights

YES – Brahmi + Shankhpushpi safe with magnesium, omega-3 & vitamin D – no interactions.

Better choice is Brahmi Ghrita (½ tsp morning + night with warm milk) – superior for brain & mood.

Add these 2 Ashwagandha Lehyam – 5 gm morning (energy & stress) Saraswatarishta – 5–10 ml after dinner (focus & memory)

Continue current supplements – outdoor activity + fixed sleep essential. Start Brahmi Ghrita tonight – he will feel calmer & sharper soon.
