You are already on multiple antidepressants. — firstly continue your all allopathic medicine as prescribed don’t stop it. Keep at least 2 hours gap to reduce interaction and absorption issues. Because allopathic and ayurvedic taken together is safe or not it depends on medicines , as now u are already on strong antidepressants so advicing u safer side, to avoid more sedation, liver stress. –Diagnosis : Vata-pradhana Manovikara / Anidra —Rx: 1)Tab. Manasmitra Vatakam – 1 tab at bedtime with warm milk 2)Brahmi Ghrita – ½ tsp at bedtime with warm milk 3)Brahmi oil head massage at night 4)Ksheerabala taila foot massage before sleep 5)Warm milk with small pinch of nutmeg at bedtime Advice - — go with panchkarma therapies such as Shirodhara with ksheerbala taila for 7 days , nasya with any taila under supervision if feasible. —Avoid late-night screen use Early sleep (10 pm) Light, warm diet

Hi, Start Ayurvedic medicines along with your current medications. When your symptoms improve, you can gradually reduce the dosage of the allopathic medications and eventually stop that. Take * manas mitra vatakam 2 tab twice daily after food * Saraswatarishtam 30 ml twice daily after food * Kalyanakam kashaya 15 ml twice daily before food mixed with 60 ml luke warm water * Dhanwantaram gulika 2tab thrice daily before food Don’t expect the changes to be immediate. Notice the slight changes. Have atleast 2 hours gap between the allopathic medicine and ayurvedic medicines. Reach out if you feel any gastric discomfort or any other issues

With multiple psychiatric medicines already in use, persistent insomnia suggests that your nervous system is highly overstimulated and that the sleep cycle has become irregular. In such situations, even medications may not fully normalize sleep if stress, mental hyperactivity, and Vata imbalance are not addressed. Ayurveda focuses on calming the mind, supporting nervous system balance, and improving sleep quality rather than only suppressing symptoms: • Medhya support – herbs like Brahmi, Shankhapushpi, or Ashwagandha (selected based on constitution and digestion) can calm mental hyperactivity • Night routine – fixed sleep-wake times, avoiding screens or bright lights before bed • Abhyanga (warm oil self-massage) – especially on the head, neck, and feet to relax muscles and nerves • Gentle breathing or relaxation practices – slow, guided pranayama or meditation to reduce racing thoughts • Light, warm evening meals and avoidance of stimulants Because your symptoms are severe and you are on multiple psychotropic medications, any herbal or lifestyle addition should be done under supervision to avoid interactions. A personal consultation will allow a tailored plan that combines safe Ayurvedic support with your current psychiatric treatment to improve sleep gradually and reduce daytime stress safely.

Take Brahmi Vati, Manasmitra Vatkam and Shankhapuspi as prescribed by other doctors. Just find yourself a nearby Panchakarma centre and go for “Shirodhara”. In this medicated oil/decoction is poured over forehead for some amount of time. Do this procedure for 7 days straight. You will feel much better, symptoms will reduce and will make you sleep better.
