What is the risk of rabies after a bat entered my room without direct contact? - #54674
Hello Doctor, I have a concern and would like your guidance. Around 4 days ago, a bat entered my room while I was awake and studying. I noticed it flying and immediately moved away. I did not feel any direct contact, bite, or scratch at that time. Since then, I have carefully checked my body multiple times and have not found any visible bite marks, punctures, or injuries. I do have some mosquito bites on my legs causing mild redness and slight irritation, but nothing that looks like a bite wound. Could you please advise: * Is there any risk of rabies in this situation? * Do I need to take a rabies vaccine as a precaution? Thank you.
