is dalia good for diabetes - #23676

Ellie

I am really curious if dalia is good for diabetes because my uncle was recently diagnosed, and he's struggling with meal ideas. We always thought of dalia as a healthy grain, but now when I search, I see mixed info. Last week we made him some dalia khichdi, and he said he loves it. But then I read somewhere that some grains can spike blood sugar and that it can be a challenge managing carbs with diabetes! He’s also dealing with some other symptoms, fatigue and sometimes being a bit dizzy after meals, and it got me thinking. Are there different types of dalia? Is white dalia fine or should we be looking for a specific kind for better blood sugar control? What should be the portion sizes? And should we pair it with something else to make it more balanced for him? I honestly just want to support him, like, are there other foods that are good too? Just trying to make sure we are on the right track here. Is dalia good for diabetes, and if so, how can we make it work in his diet without compromising anything? Thx for any advice!

Don't worry daliya can be a good option and you can try to include more jowar or quinoa in his diet But keep in mind moderation is the key slowly incorporate this in his diet with lots of veggies . Then make it routine By changing millets weekly
