Thyroid and weight problem - #20971

I have hypothyroid and I am overweight, my weight is stuck. I want to remove thyroid permanently and also want to loose weight permanently. Please suggest what I do. Which food or exercise will help me to do the same. Please suggest 🙏

Fruits Amla, pomegranate, apple, papaya
Fats Cow ghee (small amount), mustard oil
Start your day with warm jeera or ajwain water to ignite Agni.
Avoid
Curd (especially at night)
Cold water/ice-cold drinks
Refined wheat, maida, bakery items
Potatoes, sweet potatoes, raw salads (too Kapha-heavy)
Sugar, jaggery in excess
Heavy milkshakes, cheese, paneer
Daytime sleep (increases Kapha)

Spices like ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon can stimulate Agni and should be included in your meals. Sipping warm ginger tea before meals can enhance digestion too. Performing Abhyanga with warm sesame oil can aid in improving circulation and addressing Kapha imbalances.
Engage in regular exercise, focusing on activities that boost metabolism. Yoga poses like Surya Namaskar, Kapalbhati pranayama, and the Bhujangasana can aid in maintaining thyroid function and losing weight. Yoga also helps reduce stress which can be a contributing factor to thyroid imbalance.
Consume Triphala at night in warm water to aid in digestion and detoxification. Bhringaraja and Punarnava herbs can be employed to manage Kapha and improve metabolism, though its best to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for correct dosages.
Remember, managing hypothyroidism is a journey. Identification and consistent application of appropriate strategies aren't just about weight or fitness, but holistic well-being.
