I am trying to figure out if is dahi good for weight loss? I've been on this health journey for a bit, trying to shed some pounds after a rough patch where I fell into unhealthy eating. Lately, I’ve been adding more natural foods into my diet, like fruits and veggies, and someone suggested I include dahi. They claim it’s super healthy and can help with weight loss, but I’m not completely convinced! I mean, every time I eat it, it feels heavy, like is dahi good for weight loss really? Sometimes I notice my stomach feels kinda funny after – is that normal? Like I've even read about probiotics in it helping digestion, but I just can't wrap my head around how it fits with weight loss. I heard mixed stuff you know? Does anyone have experience eating dahi while trying to lose weight? I'm just looking for real-life stories and advice on whether it actually works or if I'm better off with something else. Just hopeioing to find a balance here!

If you’re experiencing a funny stomach after consuming dahi, it’s possible that your agni, or digestive fire, is not currently strong enough to handle heavier foods, or you’re consuming it in a way that isn’t most harmonious with your system.

For weight loss, dahi should ideally be consumed during the day, especially when the digestive fire is strongest, rather than at night. It’s best to avoid eating it cold, directly from the fridge, as cold foods can dampen digestion. Instead, try bringing it to room temperature. You can also pair it with a pinch of spices like cumin, black pepper, or ginger powder to improve digestion and assimilation.

If you’re noticing discomfort in your stomach after eating dahi, it could also be due to an imbalance in your gut flora. The probiotics in dahi are generally beneficial, but if your gut isn’t used to them, it might take some adjusting. Start with small quantities and see how your body responds; gradually increase the amount as your system adapts.

To truly benefit from dahi in your weight loss journey, consider your overall dietary and lifestyle habits. Incorporating regular physical activity, mindful eating, and a balanced diet rich in whole foods are all essential components.
