I am dealing with a bit of a confusing situation right now. For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get into intermittent fasting because I heard it could help with weight loss and overall health. I feel like I’ve been doing pretty okay, but here’s the thing: I’ve recently started taking turmeric daily for its anti-inflammatory benefits. I’ve read that it has a ton of great properties and maybe even helps with digestion. 😅 But now I keep stressing, will turmeric break my fast? I typically drink it in warm water or mix it with a bit of lemon and honey, which I think is healthy, but I don’t know if it's gonna mess with my fasting window or something. I know it has calories??? Like, are those gonna kick me out of fasting or can I still get benefits without it ruining everything I've worked for? Ugh, I’m just worried that this whole turmeric thing might be undoing my efforts. Also, what if I take it on an empty stomach? Does that change anything??!! Any advice from you Ayurvedic docs would be super helpful! Shall I stop taking it when I fast or are there better ways to keep it in my routine? Pls help me figure out if it’s a good idea or not!
