Your digestion (Agni) is weak, which is causing gas and low appetite. —First, we must improve digestion—not force heavy eating. —Advice: Eat light, warm, freshly cooked food Take small meals frequently Prefer moong dal, rice, khichdi, vegetable soups Avoid heavy, oily, and gas-forming foods Use jeera, ajwain, hing, ginger to improve digestion —For strength, include easy-to-digest protein like moong dal, curd, or light paneer. –Once digestion improves, appetite and energy will automatically return. –Dx: Agnimandya + Ajeerna + Vata ↑ Rx: 1)Aimil Zymnet Tab – 1 BD after meals 2)Aimil Amlycure DS – 1 cap BD before meals –Anupan: Jeera + Ajwain water Diet: Laghu ahar (moong dal, khichdi) Avoid heavy, oily, gas-forming food Advice: Small frequent meals –F/U: 10 days

Mix the two together and take them with lukewarm milk or water 1-2 times a day. This combination is believed to help • Relieve acidity • Soothe the throat and digestion ●Simple rules to reduce acidity • Eat meals on time. Limit spicy and fried foods. • Don’t lie down immediately after meals. • Drink plenty of water throughout the day. • Keep dinner light. Even small rules contribute greatly to balancing pitta.

Hello For a 54-year-old dealing with low appetite and digestive issues, the Ayurvedic perspective focuses on rekindling Agni (the digestive fire). When Agni is weak, food isn’t converted into nutrition, leading to further loss of appetite and weakness. To improve nutrition without overloading your system, focus on Laghu-Ahara (light-to-digest foods) that are nutrient-dense: Small, Frequent Meals: Instead of three large meals, eat 5-6 small portions. Liquid Nutrition: Fresh pomegranate juice, thin buttermilk (Takra) with a pinch of roasted cumin, or rice gruel (Kanji) with ginger. Protein Strategy: Since heavy proteins like red meat or thick dals are hard to digest, opt for Moong Dal soup (Mudga Yusha) or steamed sprouts. If using protein supplements, ensure they are plant-based or “predigested” (hydrolyzed) to prevent bloating. Warmth: Drink warm water throughout the day. Avoid cold or raw foods (like large salads), which dampen Agni. 1. Hinguvachadi Gulika Action: Relieves bloating, gas, and improves the desire for food. Dose: 1 tablet twice daily, taken 30 minutes before meals with warm water. 2. Ashtachurnam Action: A classic formula for “Agni Deepana” (kindling digestion). It helps in the breakdown of proteins and fats. Dose: ½ teaspoon mixed with the first morsel of your lunch/dinner or with a little ghee. 3. Dasamoolarishtam Action: A fermented tonic that improves overall strength and relieves “Aruchi” (tastelessness/low appetite). Dose: 20 ml with an equal quantity of lukewarm water, twice daily after meals. 4. Dhanwantharam Gulika Action: Supports digestive health and prevents reflux or discomfort after eating. Dose: 1 tablet dissolved in cumin water twice daily. Protein Requirement For a 54-year-old, the general requirement is approximately 0.8g to 1g of protein per kilogram of body weight. If you weigh 70kg, aim for 55-70g of protein daily. Focus on easy-to-digest sources: Moong Dal (Yellow Gram) Buttermilk Paneer (if tolerated) Soya chunks (boiled well)

This kind of low appetite and digestion issue usually happens due to weak agni, when digestion is not strong the body is not able to properly absorb nutrients, leading to gas, low energy and poor nourishment even if you try to eat well so first focus should be on improving digestion, then nutrition and protein will automatically improve medicines you can take chitrakadi vati 1 tablet before meals twice daily jeerakadyarishta 10–15 ml with equal water after meals hingvastak churna 1/2 tsp with first bite of food instead of eating heavy meals, take small frequent meals which are easy to digest, include moong dal, rice, vegetable soups, khichdi, and soft cooked foods for protein you can include moong dal, masoor dal, paneer in small quantity, buttermilk, and soaked almonds, start in small amounts and gradually increase as digestion improves avoid raw, cold, fried and heavy foods as they worsen gas and reduce appetite drink warm water through the day and you can take ginger + a pinch of salt before meals to stimulate appetite light walking after meals and regular routine will help improve digestion once agni improves, appetite and energy will also improve and body will start getting proper nutrition Heartful pranams Dr Raghuveer SN (Ayurvedacharya)

Hello, You’ve shared something important- chronic digestion issues (more than 6 months), low appetite, and low energy at age 54. In Ayurveda, this usually points to low digestive fire and possible vata-kapha imbalance Root problem -weak digestion= poor absorption -leads to ama (toxins)= low energy, appetite fluctuation -eating more won’t help unless digestion improves first So the goal is -improve digestion-> then improve nutrition How you should eat (very important) Golden rules -eat small , frequent meals 4-5 times/day -eat warm, soft, freshly cooked food only -avoid cold, raw, refrigerated food -eat at fixed times daily Ideal daily diet plan Morning (empty stomach) -warm water + few drops lemon -or ginger water (very helpful for appetite) Breakfast (light) -moong dal chilla or Soft poha or daliya -add a little ghee Lunch (main meal) -soft khichdi best medicine for you add gheee 2 tsp, jeera-hing very important -well cooked vegetables lauki , tori, carrot Mid evening -buttermilk with roasted jeera, rock salt Dinner very light -soup + soft rice OR thin khichdi -eat before 7:30-8pm Your protein requirement (important) At your age approx need= 0.8- 1 gm protein per kg body weight Example If 60 kg -> need ~50-60 gm protein/ day Easy to digest protein sources -moong dal best -massor dal light -panner small quantity -homemade thin dal soups -soft khichdi Avoid -heavy rajma. chole (hard to digest now) -excess whey protein (can worsen digestion) Ayurvedic supplements (very effective) For digestion (agni improvement) -Trikatu churna= 1/2 tsp with warm water before meals -Hingwastaka churna= 1/2 tsp mix with first bite of food twice daily For appetite + absorption -Chyawanprasha= 1 tsp morning small amount -jeera + ajwain + saunf powder after meals For stregnth and nutrition -Ashwagandha powder= 1 tsp with warm milk at bedtime -Shatavari churna= 1 tsp with warm milk in morning if weakness present Important Lifestyle fixes -eat in a calm, stress free state -walk 10-15 min after meals -sleep by 10 pm Avoid -tea,coffee excess -fried food -cold drinks Don’t ignore since this is > 6 months + low energy , also consider basic check B12 vitamin D thyroid Hemoglobin Because sometimes deficiency worsens appetite and digestion Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
