Pitta dosha is related to heat in the body. So diet should be cooling, light, and calming to maintain balance. Prefer foods that cool and nourish the body. Take simple home food. Include rice, wheat, moong dal, milk, ghee (1 tsp daily). Eat vegetables like bottle gourd, ridge gourd, cucumber, pumpkin, leafy greens. Fruits like pomegranate, apple, pear, banana are good. Coconut water, buttermilk (daytime) and amla are very beneficial. Avoid foods that increase heat. Do not take very spicy, sour, oily, and fried food. Avoid excess chilli, pickles, vinegar, fermented food, and junk food. Reduce tea, coffee, alcohol, and smoking. Avoid curd at night. Eat meals on time and do not skip meals. Prefer freshly cooked warm food, not very hot. Avoid overeating. Maintain proper sleep and avoid late nights. Manage stress, as it increases pitta. This type of diet helps in reducing acidity, skin issues, and irritation in the body.

●When Pitta is aggravated: Acidity, burning sensation, sweating, acne, skin diseases. Anger, irritability, jealousy, or impatience. An imbalance of Pitta does not ignite the “fire,” but rather destroys it.Headache, burning eyes, and stomach irritation. • Insomnia and excessive thirst ●Pitta Balancing Diet • Foods with cold, sweet, bitter, and astringent juices. • Cucumber, watermelon, sugar, coconut water, fennel, and coriander. • Milk, ghee, and rice are best. • Limit spicy, sour, salty, and pungent foods. Avoid alcohol, coffee, tobacco, and fast food. ●Daily Routine • Rest in a cool place, avoid excessive sunlight or steam. Exercise in the morning or evening - when the atmosphere is cool. • Adopt cooling elements like sandalwood, rose, camphor, and khus. ● Avoid anger and competition, practice forgiveness and peace. A cool bath and meditation before bed are beneficial. ●The medicine for a Pitta mind is compassion and calmness. The medicine for a Pitta mind is compassion and calmness. When Pitta is calmed, the fire element within transforms into light. This takes the form of clarity, confidence, and leadership. The key to balance is coolness, forgiveness, and restraint. Cool drinks, rose water, sandalwood paste, and rest are essential. ●When Pitta is calmed, the sparkle in the eyes transforms into wisdom, and the heat into compassion. Clarity in thoughts, discipline in actions, and peace in the heart emerge. Coolness, restraint, and forgiveness are the three gems of Pitta balance.

For a Pitta-balancing diet the focus is on cooling, hydrating, and mildly spiced foods to soothe the internal “fire” (Agni). Since Pitta is associated with heat, acidity, and intensity, the dietary approach relies on the Sweet, Bitter, and Astringent tastes. Grains: Basmati rice, oats, barley, and wheat Dairy: Ghee is the most recommended fat for Pitta. Milk, butter, and soft unsalted cheeses (like paneer) Favor sweet and bitter vegetables like asparagus, broccoli, leafy greens, zucchini, cucumber, and sweet potatoes. Focus on sweet, ripe fruits. Grapes, melons, pears, pomegranates, and fully ripe mangoes are ideal. mung dal, chickpeas, and red lentils. Sunflower and pumpkin seeds are cooling. Coconut (in all forms) is one of the best Pitta-pacifiers. Minimize chili peppers, radishes, raw onions, and garlic. Limit sour fruits like lemons Limit vinegar, soy sauce Avoid Excessive salt can aggravate Pitta. Avoid highly processed snacks and salted nuts. Limit mustard oil, sesame oil, and corn oil. Drink room-temperature water or cooling herbal teas like fennel, coriander, or mint. Avoid caffeinated and alcoholic beverages. Eat your largest meal at lunch (between 12 PM and 1 PM) when digestive fire is naturally highest. Avoid skipping meals, as hunger can quickly lead to irritability. Use cooling spices: coriander, cardamom, fennel, and turmeric. Limit ginger and black pepper
