I am really struggling with this insomnia thing. Like, seriously, it feels like I haven't had a full night’s sleep in weeks! It's driving me crazy! I keep tossing and turning, and when I do finally end up in that dozy place, it seems like I'm awake again in just a couple of hours. I've tried some over-the-counter stuff, but they just leave me feeling super groggy in the mornin, plus there's like a million side effects that aren't fun at all. Recently, I've heard some people talkin about ayurvedic treatment for insomnia and it’s really piqued my interest! So, like, does anybody have experiences or suggestions with ayurvedic treatment for insomnia that actually worked? I've been reading into some herbs and lifestyle changes that might be helpful like ashwagandha or certain teas, but honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. I guess I’m just looking for some guidance or recommendations from you all! Also, if anyone knows about the role of diet in this, I’d love to hear about that too. A good friend of mine was raving about it, and I’m like, do I really need to change my food habits just to get some sleep? Firstly try to walk in early morning but I know it’s really difficult to wake up in morning when u r not in good sleep at night but it’s not impossible

Take good massage for foot and head atleast weekly 2 times for head and weekly 3 times for foot massage with Brahmi taila Weekly once for month take shirodhara with Brahmi taila.

Avoid junk food, coffee and tea processed food, oil fried items, no screen time before sleep atleast 1 hour and try to read books at sleep time

Meditation for 10 -15mins by chanting Om mantra.

1) stresscom cap - 1-0-1 after food 2) nidram capsules 0-0-2 after food for week if no changes or over sleep consult again 3) saraswatharista with gold 10ml-0-10ml with 10ml water after food

I am someone who kinda grew into Panchakarma without planning it much at first... just knew I wanted to understand the deeper layers of Ayurveda, not just the surface stuff. I did both my graduation and post-grad from Govt. Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital in Bangalore — honestly that place shaped a lot of how I think about healing, especially long-term healing. After my PG, I started working right away as an Assistant Professor & consultant in the Panchakarma dept at a private Ayurveda college. Teaching kinda made me realise how much we ourselves learn by explaining things to others... and watching patients go through their detox journeys—real raw healing—was where I got hooked. Now, with around 6 years of clinical exp in Panchakarma practice, I'm working as an Associate Professor, still in the same dept., still learning, still teaching. I focus a lot on individualised protocols—Ayurveda isn't one-size-fits-all and honestly, that’s what makes it tricky but also beautiful. Right now I’m also doing my PhD, it’s on female infertility—a topic I feel not just academically drawn to but personally invested in, cause I see how complex and layered it gets for many women. Managing that along with academics and patient care isn’t super easy, I won’t lie, but it kinda fuels each other. The classroom work helps my clinical thinking, and my clinical work makes me question things in research more sharply. There's a lot I still wanna explore—especially in how we explain Panchakarma better to newer patients. Many people still think it's just oil massage or some spa thing but the depth is wayyy beyond that. I guess I keep hoping to make that clarity come through—whether it’s in class or during a consult or even during a quick OPD chat.

I am working right now as a Consultant Ayurvedic Ano-Rectal Surgeon at Bhrigu Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital in Nalgonda—and yeah, that name’s quite something, but what really keeps me here is the kind of cases we get. My main focus is managing ano-rectal disorders like piles (Arsha), fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara), fissure-in-ano (Parikartika), pilonidal sinus, and rectal polyps. These are often more complex than they look at first, and they get misdiagnosed or overtreated in a lotta places. That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. Over time, I’ve seen that when people follow the whole protocol, not just the procedure part, the recurrence drops a lot.
