Ah, dealing with PCOD can be really challenging, and I totally get where you're coming from on this. Irregular periods and weight gain can feel really overwhelming. Now, PCOD, or PolyCystic Ovarian Disorder, is a bit complex but let's see how we can make Ayurveda work here. Firstly, you want to balance your hormones, right? PCOD often links with Kapha dosha imbalances. So focusing on lifestyle and diet changes is quite essential. Start with warming spices like cumin, turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger in your daily meals. They can really help in ramping up your Agni, or digestive fire, which can promote hormonal balance. About your diet - lean more towards whole foods, grains, leafy greens, and reduce those processed or sugary foods. Eat at regular intervals to stabilize your energy and sugar levels. You can include barley and millet in your meals, might surprise you how useful they are. Also, try having some bitter foods like neem or karela (bitter gourd) which traditionally aids in regulating sugar and improving metabolism. Some exercise is good too, like yoga or a brisk walk - especially Kapalbhati pranayama (breathing technique), which can help balance your doshas and improve circulation. Consistency is key, so find something you enjoy! Aim for 30 minutes each day. For herbal support, Shatavari and Ashwagandha are phenomenal. You might want to take them daily after consulting with a practitioner to get the right dosage. These herbs can assist in harmonizing the hormones and managing stress, which strange as it sounds, affects your cycles too. Lastly, establish a regular sleep routine. Try to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. It supports the body’s natural cycle and can indirectly affect your menstrual rhythm. Small, regular habits can set things straight over time. This isn't a quick fix, takes a little patience but hey, you've got this! If anything feels out of the ordinary or you’re in discomfort, don't hesitate to reach out to a health professional. Remember these are general suggestions, so tweaking them to fit your lifestyle is essential.

Information about long cycle

I am having a period 19 days now.im 43 yrs, have a small friboids and my upper mid back hurts...my periods usually lasts 3regular days and I am a bit concerned now with this full pain in my back.im also seeing blood clots

Ah, you're having a tough time with that, huh? So, let's dive right in. 19 days is indeed a long cycle and added to that the back pain and fibroids, it is understandable you're concerned. Fibroids can mess with your cycle, cause prolonged bleeding and sometimes, they need special attention. But first things first... bleeding more than usual can lead to iron-deficiency anemia, so it's important you don’t ignore this. Clots could also be your body's way of trying to regulate the heavy flow, still, the body needs guidance to get back into balance. In the realm of Ayurveda, we're looking at balancing those doshas. Excessive bleeding often indicates an imbalance in your Pitta. This is a time to cool things down, no fiery foods... avoid spicy, sour, and overly salty dishes right now. Think cooling, like cucumber, mint, and coconut water. Incorporate some Ayurvedic herbs like Ashoka, which is traditionally used for uterine health, regulation, and strengthening. Start with a decoction if you can find it, or there are capsules available too. Abhyanga (self-massage) with sesame oil might help alleviate some back pain and promote circulation, but get check-up for those fibroids if the pain persists. Ginger tea could ease pain a little via its anti-inflammatory nature. And about your fibroids, it’s wise to keep a watchful eye on them. Sometimes they don’t cause big issues, other times they grow. So, maybe have them assessed again, just to stay safe. Moreover, consider paying your doctor a visit. Especially if this prolonged bleeding keeps up or if pains increase, traditional treatment might be needed too. Can’t let it slide when it comes to health, right? Lastly, pay attention to any changes in lifestyle, stress matters. It's sometimes a silent culprit. More rest, less stress. Balance, it's all about finding that balance. But dont sit on this, get checked if symptoms don't improve.

Vaginal discharge without odor ,thick ,curd like discharge, color - white or light yellow, irritation and itching in private parts ....it will increase post menstruation..... whether it might yeast or some other infection... I have taken flucanazole ...for1 or2 days it will give relief ...again symptoms will be seen...

It sounds like you're dealing with symptoms that could align with a yeast infection. However, for a conclusive diagnosis, it's best to have a healthcare professional assess it. Regarding Ayurveda, there are approaches we can take that align with healing and balance. First off, let's talk diet. Try to reduc intake of sour, fermented food as they sometimes aggravate infections according to Ayurveda. Instead, favor fresh, seasonal fruits, and whole grains, which support digestive fire and overall well-being. In terms of remedies, you might consider using a Triphala churna, which is a traditional ayurvedic formulation known for its cleansing properties. Mixing a teaspoon of Triphala in warm water, drink this before bed to support digestion but also may help with holding balance internally. Externally, you might consider a gentle wash with neem water—boil neem leaves in water, let it cool and use it to wash the area. Its antibacterial and antifungal properties can be soothing, but it's still essential to test a small area first to ensure no irritation. To address imbalanced dosha—often white or light yellow discharge with itching—might indicate kapha and pitta imbalance. Including turmeric in your daily routine can be beneficial as it's known for anti-inflammatory and cleansing qualities. A simple golden milk (turmeric, warm milk, a little honey) before sleeping might help soothe body and mind too. Hydration is massive tool here! Aim for enough water to flush out systems while calming irritated tissues. Coconut water is especially cooling and may offer relief. But, if the symptoms like itching and irritation persist, it's critical to reach out to a healthcare provider. Balance is essential, but ensuring you don't go too long without adequate professional medical advice in such cases is key.
